Traction systems
TTM Rail offer in partnership with Vossloh Kiepe a robust, advanced range of rolling stock traction drive systems utilising the very latest technologies available to the world market. Our traction systems on offer have been designed and tested to the latest rolling stock standards, making them a perfect choice for any new or existing rolling stock application. All of our systems on offer can be tailored to suit our customer's requirements, whether for a new vehicle build, or for the modernisation of existing fleets. We have a range of solutions for most catenary voltages and generator or alternator supply.
We can also provide hybrid systems with power storage solutions for maximum fleet efficiency. These can utilise the latest in battery or supercapacitor technologies which allow storage of power on-board rail vehicles for later use.
Our systems are often unique as all of our customers have varying requirements for their project, as such we can only demonstrate some examples of the systems on offer. AC Supply Traction Systems
Due to the modularity of our traction inverters, we can configure our units to handle supply voltages of up to 25 kV AC.
The Vossloh Kiepe range of traction inverters have all been designed and tested to the latest rolling stock standards, and can be customised to suit your exact electrical and mechanical requirements.

DC or Generator Supply Traction Systems
Whether the rolling stock is receiving power from the catenary, or a generator, we have DC traction systems that will suit your needs. Due to their modular design, the traction converters can be provided in many various power ratings and configurations. The below specifications are samples of just some of the most popular configurations in rolling stock vehicles worldwide. Input Voltages: 600VDC, 750VDC, 1500VDC, 3000VDC Power Ratings: 150, 250, 500, 900 kW, 1800kW (various/higher ratings can also be provided).

Combined Power Solutions (Traction and Auxilliary)
In addition to the traction power required to move your rolling stock, vehicles also need auxiliary power for various applications on-board such as braking compressors, HVAC, lighting, passenger door systems and many other electrical consumers. In order to simplify your rolling stock, we offer complete power packages containing both traction and auxiliary power systems combined in the one unit.
The modular design of these systems allows endless configurations to be supplied, and results in simple maintenance and repairs for the life of your rolling stock.
